Serve it with Rice, Save it for the fall

I found this recipe on cooks.com....it was a really good way to make pork chops (especially in the fall when it's cooler)
but the sauce was a little too ketsup-y. Any suggestions as to how we can improve it? Overall it was awesome and a one dish wonder! yum yum!

2 1/2 c. apple slices
2 c. sliced onions
6 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 c. ketchup
6 pork chops, 3/4" thick
6 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
3 tbsp. cider vinegar
3/4 tsp. salt
Dash of black pepper

Arrange in casserole in alternate layers of apples and onions. Combine sugar, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, salt and pepper. Lay chops on apples and onions and pour ketchup mixture over all. Cover and bake in 375 degree oven for 1-1 1/2 hours. Makes 6 servings.
